At PDF Converter, your privacy is our highest priority. We built our application from the ground up with a strict "100% On-Device Processing" philosophy. This Privacy Policy explains how our app handles your information and documents.
1. Zero Cloud Uploads & 100% On-Device Processing
Unlike conventional document scanners and PDF converters that upload your sensitive files to external servers, PDF Converter operates entirely locally on your iOS device.
- All image-to-PDF conversions, PDF-to-image extractions, and real-time document scanning operations are executed using Apple's native CoreGraphics, VisionKit, and PDFKit frameworks.
- We do not own, operate, or use any cloud storage servers. Your documents, photos, and scanned pages never leave your device and are never transmitted across the internet.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We adhere to a strict zero-data collection policy:
- No Personal Data: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or IP address.
- No Document Access: We have zero access to the contents of your PDFs, scanned documents, or photo library.
- No Tracking or Advertising SDKs: We do not use third-party advertising networks, user profiling trackers, or invasive analytics tools (such as Facebook SDK or Firebase Analytics).
3. Device Permissions & Why We Need Them
To provide our core offline functionalities, the app requests specific Apple iOS permissions:
- Photo Library Access (
PHPicker / PhotoLibrary): Required solely to let you select photos from your gallery to convert into PDF documents, or to save extracted PDF images back to your camera roll.
- Camera Access (
NSCameraUsageDescription): Required exclusively for the real-time document scanning feature using Apple's native Vision scanner viewfinder.
4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
All purchases, subscriptions (Monthly/Annual), and Lifetime PRO upgrades are processed securely and directly by Apple via StoreKit and managed via RevenueCat.
- We never receive, store, or have access to your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or Apple ID credentials.
- Transaction histories are anonymized and used solely to unlock your PRO entitlements within the app.
